An Opportunity Like No Other

Big B.A.N.G. (Building A New Generation) Weekend

This FREE Football Clinic gives the opportunity to hundreds of underserved youth in our community to experience playing on a field learning how the highest-level athletes train and prepare to be the best both on the field and off the field.

Unlike any program offered in the Fresno area the “Believe and Achieve” clinic features current college players and current and former professional football players running the camp. Local businesses and organizations partner with us to raise funds for this incredible weekend. Proceeds not only provide hundreds of children (grades 4th-8th) the opportunity to be mentored by local talent and pro athletes but will also help fund Special Activities, Community Events, Field Trips, Foster Care Training, and Scholarships for KYJO youth.

BIG B.A.N.G. Weekend 2021 kicked off on August 20th with Open Mic Night at Athletic Performance Gym. The event was MC’d by KMJ radio host Matt Otstot who kept the crowd entertained while introducing local performers and overseeing the silent auction. Thank you to DJ Straws for keeping the party going! We appreciate the generosity of The Gastro Grill Food Truck for keeping everyone fed and full. Thank you to all of these local businesses who generously donated items for the silent auction.

It was an unfortunate circumstance that KYJO had to make the call to cancel the football clinic due to poor air quality. The decision to postpone the football clinic was made to ensure that the health and safety was the priority of all clinic participants, volunteers and KYJO staff. Please keep your eyes peeled for an upcoming announcement on BIG B.A.NG. events in 2022.
